I know a lady who asks her followers and friends to give her some good news every Tuesday on her facebook account. It's a great thing to observe because the thread of different people and their good news declarations span from great doctor visits to delicious food, to being thankful for the sunshine and everything in between. Sometimes it's easy for us to forget the good news and hang on to the things that are going wrong instead.
Today is a good day and there's lots of good news hanging around. We got snowed in this past weekend and yesterday was a snow day. I stayed inside, cleaned and dusted and stressed over working websites and email accounts while I swept the floors and folded the laundry. This morning, however, I awoke to a working website and eagerness to share with you what I've been working on.
My super friends at my super church helped me figure out all the tech things in my life that are getting me down. My super sister in Law who I have asked to check links a million times over the past two days and who gave me the pep talk I needed to stop worrying and just do it swooped in just at the right time to get me back on track.
So I sent my work out into the world and asked people to help me out. It's good news when awesome people respond and are excited and eager to join in on the fun.
The good news is that in the midst of this busy world (I have to take my kid to a basketball game in like 5 minutes), somehow there's been time to do the thing I love which is make music. The good news is that there are hearts out there who hear it. The good news is that we all made it to today and the odds are that we will probably be all right. That's good news.
